Gregory Hyde continues our series on the New Testament book of Philippians, looking to scripture to discover how Paul further encourages the church to continue doing good works, whether or not he is in their presence. In the same way, we should continue to grow in our faith and not rely on a lead pastor or other person to be responsible for our spiritual growth and health. We are instructed to avoid grumbling and complaining, and live lives that are set apart from the world around us, as we are children of God.
With any text it is helpful to ask the questions:
What did I learn about God?
What did I learn about man?
How can I apply this to my life this week?
Who can I talk to about what I’ve learned this week?
